EMILIE LASSUS BOYD
London-born Emilie Boyd moved to Glasgow 10 years ago to study music, and stayed for the vibrant and creative scene there. She is a regular face in venues across Scotland, performing mostly in jazz and contemporary music. She’s a front-woman for many of her own projects, and a regular backing vocalist and collaborator. Recent notable performances include her 3-time sell-out show “Like A Cat Tied to a Stick: Radiohead Re-imagined”; performing Taylor Swift's ‘1989’ with Start-to-End; and backing vocals for artists such as Tom McGuire and the Brassholes, Rachel Sermanni, Fat-Suit, and Man of the Minch. She currently fronts her own jazz quintet ‘The Emilie Boyd Quintet’ and is one third of 'Little Acres', a contemporary vocal trio.
When she’s not performing herself, Emilie works in community music. In particular, she leads and arranges music for large-scale community choir organisations.
